A Phone Call That Changed Everything: Meeting Brother Miguel & Alaina

Sometimes, the Lord moves in the smallest moments — and sometimes it all starts with a simple phone call.

What began as a conversation with a fellow brother in Christ from New Mexico has blossomed into a beautiful, Spirit-led connection with a family full of faith, vision, and possibility: Brother Miguel and his wife, Alaina.

This brother was visiting Brother Miguel and Alaina while on a mission trip to Belize. During that visit, the Holy Spirit gently nudged us to reach out to Brother Miguel ourselves — to see what the Lord might have in store through this connection. We obeyed, and what has unfolded has been nothing short of amazing.

Brother Miguel lives in the Stann Creek District of Belize and serves as a preacher in the village of San Ramon. During our two-month stay in Belize this past summer, we had the joy of visiting their home, walking the “bush,” and exploring Brother Miguel’s farm.

It was there that we began to dream together about how God might use us to support local farmers — helping them grow more crops and eventually creating a farmers’ market in the village, potentially using the church’s old camp as the hub. Walking the land, seeing the potential firsthand, and hearing Brother Miguel’s vision made it clear: the Holy Spirit is willing and ready. All we need to do is listen and follow.

This is just the beginning. The Lord is opening doors, planting seeds, and showing us that when hearts are aligned with Him, even one phone call can spark a whole new family, a new mission, and endless possibilities for His glory.

We are praying, listening, and stepping forward in faith — trusting that God will multiply this vision for the good of the people in San Ramon and for His Kingdom.

Stay tuned as we walk this journey together with Brother Miguel, Alaina, and the amazing village of San Ramon — a place where hope, faith, and community are growing stronger every day.
