Listening in Belize: Our First Visit
Our very first trip to Belize was a week of quiet observation, prayer, and listening. We didn’t come with a plan to act immediately; instead, we focused on hearing God’s voice, understanding the land, and discerning the needs of the communities.
During this time, we visited villages, met local leaders, and observed daily life, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide our hearts. We saw opportunities, challenges, and areas where True Belize could serve — from supporting local farmers and churches to exploring ways to build community, provide jobs, and disciple youth.
This foundational trip reminded us that before any action, we must first listen, learn, and trust God’s timing. It set the tone for everything that has followed, laying the groundwork for a mission built on faith, love, and discernment.
