Week Seven Recap

This week, we had many plans in place — and as always, the Lord worked both through and beyond them.

On Monday, John Kirby’s team successfully finished the house in San Ramon. It was such a blessing to see that project completed. Natalie was also able to plant radishes, continuing to invest in the farm and the future harvest.

Tuesday took us out to Jacob’s farm, where we were able to prepare several things for the upcoming house dedication. It was a productive and encouraging day of service.

On Wednesday, the Connection ladies joined Natalie at Rafi’s to cook tamales — always a sweet time of fellowship and teamwork. That same day, Keely had the opportunity to visit two schools with the Deaf ministry, expanding outreach in a meaningful way.

Thursday was a full day. The ladies came out to the farm and bagged 300 pounds of beans. They also retort-bagged beans for Oscar, which was a huge help. Unfortunately, Rafi took a fall and fractured his knee. He will be unable to move it for six weeks, so we are praying for healing and patience during his recovery. We were also able to assist Mark Fulton’s group with painting houses and building beds, serving wherever help was needed.

On Friday, the ladies attempted to retort-can chicken. However, the success rate was lower than expected, so that project will be paused for now.

Saturday was a joyful day as we celebrated the birthdays of Desi, Eladia, and Lance. It was a wonderful time filled with friends, family, and gratitude.

Sunday wrapped up the week with our large combined youth group event. Around 30 kids joined, along with 28 members from the Connection group. We played GaGa ball, volleyball, and football, made bracelets, and enjoyed meaningful fellowship together. It was a powerful time of unity and joy.

The Lord continues to provide opportunities to serve, grow, and build community. We are grateful for all He is doing here.
