We have met several families whose children are

sleeping on the floor.

Rather than simply donating beds, we are creating a project that provides work for Belizean builders while meeting real needs in the community.

Through the Build a Bunk Bed Project, we have partnered with “Believe in Them” half-way house in Lousiville Village, in Corozal District, Belize. Where workers build handmade metal bunk beds. These beds are then placed in homes where children currently sleep on the floor.

This approach allows the project to:

  • Create local jobs

  • Use local skills and materials

  • Help children sleep in a safe bed

  • Build a system that can sustain itself

Mission teams, churches, and donors can sponsor beds or purchase them to personally deliver during their visit to Belize. Every bed built not only blesses a family, but also creates meaningful work and income for local craftsmen.
